Terms of use.

The plain rules for using this website. These are terms for the site — not an engagement contract. Working together starts with a written engagement letter, never with a page view.

Effective June 10, 2026 Texas law applies

1 · Using this site

General information — not professional advice.

This website is published by Westgate Financial Services in Conroe, Texas. By using it, you agree to these terms; if you don't agree, the fix is simple — don't use the site.

Everything on this site — pages, guides, FAQ answers, pricing ranges — is general information about bookkeeping, operational accounting, and QuickBooks. It is not professional advice for your specific situation, and you shouldn't act on it as if it were. Your books, your entity, and your circumstances are particular to you; what's right for them takes an actual conversation.

Reading this site, calling us, or submitting a form does not create a client relationship. An engagement with Westgate begins only when both sides have signed a written agreement — the engagement letter that scopes the work and the fixed fee. That's how every engagement starts, deliberately: nothing is owed and nothing is promised until the scope is on paper.

2 · Our content

Who owns what.

The content of this site — the writing, the illustrations, the page designs — belongs to Westgate Financial Services. You're welcome to read it, link to it, and quote it reasonably with attribution. Please don't republish whole pages as your own.

QuickBooks and ProAdvisor are trademarks of Intuit Inc., and other marks mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners. We use them only to describe real products and a real credential — David Westgate is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, a certification issued by Intuit. Intuit doesn't endorse this site.

3 · No warranties

The site is provided as-is.

We work to keep this site accurate, current, and available — but we can't guarantee it will always be all three. The site is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind: no promise that it's error-free, that it's always up, or that the general information on it fits your situation. Pricing shown is indicative; the only numbers that bind anyone are the ones in a signed engagement letter.

This site links to a few outside resources — for example, Google's privacy policy. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content.

4 · Limitation of liability

Reasonable limits, stated plainly.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Westgate Financial Services is not liable for damages arising from your use of this website or your reliance on its general information — including indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This limitation applies to the website; the responsibilities we take on for clients are defined in each engagement letter, which governs the actual work.

5 · Governing law & changes

Texas law, and how these terms change.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute about this website belongs in the courts of Texas.

We may update these terms from time to time; when we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
