In brief

Remote bookkeeping, in plain terms.

How does it work?

We work in your own QuickBooks file with accountant-level access, documents come through a secure portal, feeds flow in automatically, and the same senior operator reconciles and closes your books each month.

US-based or offshore?

US-based — the senior operator on your books is the person you talk to, not a front for an offshore data-entry team. The work stays here.

Is it secure?

Yes — a secure portal with multi-factor authentication, accountant-level access to your own file, and you keep ownership and can revoke access anytime. Our privacy policy →

What does it cost?

A fixed monthly fee, set in writing after a free review — never hourly. See the pricing page for published ranges.

Remote, done right

The location that matters is your QuickBooks file.

Bookkeeping stopped being a local-storefront business the moment the books moved into the cloud. What actually matters isn't whether your bookkeeper is down the street — it's whether a senior person you can reach is working accurately in your file, on a reliable cadence.

That's what remote lets us do well: the same operator on your books every month, reconciling and closing in your own file, reachable by phone when you need them. No rotating staff, no offshore hand-off, no driving across town to drop off receipts.

It's also how we honestly serve businesses across Texas from one real office in Conroe — the work is remote, the operator is senior and US-based, and the books are genuinely kept. Why that beats the alternatives →

Remote bookkeeping FAQ

Direct answers about working remotely.

We work inside your own QuickBooks Online or Desktop file with accountant-level access — you own the file and keep your full history. Statements, receipts, and documents come to us through a secure portal rather than email, your bank and card feeds flow in automatically, and the same senior operator reconciles every account and runs your close each month. You never have to be in the room: the work happens in your file, and you get reconciled numbers and a direct line to the person doing them.
US-based, and the work stays here. The senior operator on your books is the person you talk to — not a coordinator in front of an offshore data-entry team. A lot of "remote bookkeeping" quietly routes your file overseas to cut cost; we don't. Forty years of judgment, applied directly to your books by the same person every month, is the whole point.
Almost never — and that's by design, which is exactly why we can serve businesses across Texas from our Conroe office without a per-city storefront. Everything runs through your file and the portal, with calls when you want to talk something through. If you'd genuinely prefer to meet, our office is real and you're welcome; in practice it almost never comes up.
Mostly automatically, and the rest through a secure portal. Your bank and credit-card feeds connect to QuickBooks once and then flow in on their own, so day-to-day transactions arrive without you doing anything. For the things a feed doesn't carry — a loan statement, a closing document, a receipt that needs a paper trail — you upload it to a secure portal protected with multi-factor authentication rather than emailing it around. No more dropping off a shoebox or scanning a stack at month-end; it's a few uploads as things come up.
Almost nothing to install. You need your QuickBooks Online subscription (or your Desktop file, which we can access), a web browser, and a way to upload the occasional document to the portal. That's it — no special software, no server, no setup on your computer. If you're not on QuickBooks yet, getting you onto the right version is part of onboarding. The point of remote is that it runs on tools you already have, from wherever you are.
We're a Texas firm on Central time, working business hours, and you reach the same senior operator who runs your books rather than a queue. Routine questions are answered same or next business day; if something is time-sensitive — a payment that has to go out, a number you need for a decision today — tell us and we treat it that way. Being remote doesn't mean being slow or hard to reach; it means a direct line to the person who actually knows your file.
